THE OPTIC CHIASMA
THE PATHWAY OF LIGHT
The light as we see it is actually a stream of photons and they strike the retina by reflecting from the object we want to perceive and the photons thus carry information about the object into your positronic brain channels, which are also photons which receive information from the electronic nerve impulses of the optic nerve twigs, which directly integrates into the posterior cerebral region. The optic nerve system or the pathway of vision is a curious as it after originating from the back of retina by millions of fine nerve twigs unite to from the great optic nerve of one side, which after passing through the optic foramen into the antero-inferio part of the cerebral base, merges with the optic nerve of the other side to form optic chiasma. The optic nerve is having a division inside it for also temporal and and parietal vision from the outer and inner visual regions of cornea and in the optic chiasma, both the parietal pathways of nerve bundles continue after crossing over each other to opposite sides; but the temporal pathways continue as such.
These nerve bundles from optic chiasma continue and travel posteriorly through the optic tract and finally it reaches the thalamus where it terminates by giving twigs to specific areas specialized in synthesizing light sensations and interpretation is done in a higher neuronal mass located in cerebral cortex; which is the higher processing center located in the occipital lobes.
The photons are involved in two stages of the optic recognition of an object. They reflect from the object we are trying to perceive and strike the cornea to transmit the information to ever present electrons on the corneal blood capillary network, but the real information is processed by focusing the photons by adjusting size of flexible lens mechanism of cornea and thus the photons which are focused to strike the retina transmit the energy for chemical change of rods and cons of retina and this chemical energy is then transmitted to electrons of the optic nerve twigs. The electrons vibratory pattern changes taking them to higher levels and the nervous conduction starts immediately for them to reach the point where they can unload this vibratory energy, which would then stop the ionic exchange and thus the conduction.
Myelinated nerves (covered with a special sheath to protect and increase speed of conduction) have ‘Nodes of Ranvier’ where the ionic conduction potential can jump to the next node (called ‘Saltatory Conduction’) which also increases the speed of transmission to many fold.
The electrons traveling from the cornea reach optic chiasma, communicate with each other then only necessary filtered information is transmitted to the most posterior occipital processing center. There they communicate with the positronic brain channels and dynamic allocation of memory occurs to that area to analyze and interpret the information.
If needed, for more in depth analysis using archetypal memory, the information is further relayed to the higher centers of specific areas in cerebrum.
